Unique restoration car, a Volvo P1800 Jensen from 1963. 

This is a Jensen VB version, only 2,000 of these cars were built. Therefore a true collector’s item.

The production of the P1800 started in 1961. Due to the great popularity of the Amazon and the unplanned continuation of production of the PV544, Volvo no longer had the capacity to produce the P1800. Therefore, the production of the bodywork was outsourced to Pressed Steel in Scotland. The final assembly was to be done by Jensen in West Bromwich (England). 

Only approx. 6,000 cars were produced by Jensen when Volvo decided to terminate the contract and take over the final assembly due to problems with assembling and the quality of the paintwork. 
The assembly was transferred to Volvo's own factory in Lundby (Gothenburg), this is where the last P1800 S Jensen cow horn models were assembled. 

The production of the body remained at Pressed Steel. The production of sheet metal and bodies by Pressed Steel was also transferred to Volvo's factory in Olofström in the winter of 1968. The type designation was then modified by adding the letter S for "Svenska" (Swedish), whilst the 'P' was dropped: the P1800 became the 1800 S.

The restauration needs to be completed, the car has been partially restored. The engine runs!
The car shifts and brakes, the clutch works.
It features a new dashboard which is already fitted, the gauges are connected. The clock is missing!
The underside of the car is painted in the original body colour (Volvo 46).

The car is largely complete!
The following components are missing:
- clock
- cushions in the back
- emblem
- grille
- exhaust
- window mechanism left and right
- a steering wheel from that period
- carpets
- headlining
- small items such as rubbers, hooks, etc.

The car has Belgian registration documents.
The car is completely hard, no welding!
Various photos of the build-up are available.

Some of the paintwork on the outside should be touched up. 
The car has a lot of potential, most of the work has already been done!
