The Citroën Mehari was a small car belonging to the type of car also known as "Spiaggina", with the bottom and mechanics of the 2CV.

Iconic model that has marked history, presented in 1968. It was immediately a success because it represented a "carefree" car symbol of the joy of life, a colourful and absolutely unique car in its kind.

It immediately presented itself as a versatile convertible, capable of transporting a group of people to the beach for a trip but at the same time it was also able to deliver 400 kg of material to a construction site.

The body is made of ABS plastic material, a light and cheap solution that allows to avoid the formation of rust and guarantees weight savings.

This specimen was delivered new in Italy. It is a first series that maintains its original Citroen car body: its rear "wings", the folding windshield and the ivory steering wheel, small dashboard and small front grille are its unmistakable traits. In addition, in the first series the doors were "options" often replaced by simple chains.

A full restoration was completed in 2021 on the original colour, new original white-strip tyres, engine, interior and a new capote. During its very quiet life, it has driven a few kilometres, as it was used as a second car.

The interior and capote look like new; the rear seat folds leaving room for a large loading floor. Original black plates from Florence. 

The frame and underbody are in excellent condition and restored (see photo).

The Méhari is one of the most essential, "lively" and fun cars to drive.

The technical inspection was passed in AUGUST 2021 and is valid until AUGUST 2023.
