The Fiat Nuova 500 was launched in 1957 and Abarth immediately made elaborated versions in the mechanics. These were elaborate cars using special parts made by Abarth & C., which retained virtually unchanged the exterior look of the model from which they were derived.

In 1963, the ‘595’ was presented, produced until late 1971 in two series: the first one (1963 to 1965) had the Fiat 500 D bodywork; the second one (1965 to 1971) had the Fiat 500 F bodywork.
Abarth received the incomplete cars from Fiat and fitted special parts on them.

The main changes included a dashboard (with specific instruments equipped with speedometer, odometer, rev counter, fuel level gauge and oil temperature gauge), 3-spoke steering wheel, Solex C 28 PBJ carburettor installed on a special aluminium housing, aluminium sump, specific intake and gas exhaust systems.

The Fiat 595 Abarth at auction has regular documents, historical registration certificate and original black (AV) number plate.

Fiat 595 Abarth cars are always very sought-after vehicles among enthusiasts, and they usually reach higher prices than normal versions.
