BMW 2500A from 1972 in good and very original condition.

IMPORTANT: The vehicle is located in Adeje, Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain, 15 km from Tenerife Sur Airport.

Used for the first time on Gran Canaria on 12th December 1972. It retains its first original number plates. The odometer reads 42,000 km, which probably are real, as it seems that this car has never left the Canary Islands.

Last (female) owner since 2009. The car has a valid MOT (Spanish) until October 2022. The E3 bodywork was the first in the BMW ‘E’ saga,  and it is the predecessor of the BMW Series 7.

It is a sports saloon designed to compete with the Mercedes Benz S-class and other large representative saloons. Besides, the model has racing records and this car is eligible to participate in international events such as the Historic Monte Carlo Rally, Rally Costa Brava, Rally of Portugal, etc., where similar cars raced in the 1970s.

The car starts and drives very well. It has a very good sound. Good temperature. The automatic gearbox shifts very smoothly. Suspension OK. Brakes OK, but the car pulls slightly to the right when braking. Lights and controls work well. The engine bay looks very nice.

The bodywork has no serious rust and is accident-free. There are some small surface details on the bonnet and the boot lid shown in detail in the photos. The bodywork was repainted in the past, it has no scratches, but it could use a polish.

The interior is very nice; the upholstery was restored 13 years ago. The wooden parts are in very good condition. The dashboard has two small fissures, very likely caused by the wonderful Canarian sun. 

The car has a Becker Mexico radio of the time, but behind the wooden lid there is hidden a convenient modern radio with Bluetooth, USB, etc.

The boot is in good condition and the spare wheel space is rust-free. The toolbox is present, but several tools are missing.
