Chrysler - Royal Limousine - 1939

This is a Chrysler Royal Limousine from 1939 that was the protagonist of the Hollywood movie Marlowe and that was released in theaters in 2023. This Chrysler Royal arrived in Spain in 1939 for diplomatic service in an embassy in Barcelona. Perhaps this car came to Spain in one of the most critical years in Spanish history, just that same year the civil war had ended. How can you imagine that car could not be bought by just anyone, but apart from having money, it had to be well connected to that failure of society that was the civil war. Without a doubt, those were not the best years in Spain to buy a car of this caliber, but somehow it ended up in a Catalan family in Tarragona that has had it in their custody for almost 80 years. The car is in working order and ready to be enjoyed by anyone that loves a real classic. I put many pictures of the restoration done 15 years ago so it is an old restoration and it shows some patina with light superficial scratches that can’t be seen in the pictures . The car is an eye stopper and get ready for people stopping you at any time asking questions about it. This version is not the short base one it is the long base and exclusive Limousine. They were very little units built of this model and very strange to see one for sale in Europe . If you don’t know anything about this car I would recommend you to watch a video in jay lenos garage on YouTube . - Maintenance and condition of engine and mechanics up to date. - light scratches that can’t be seen in pictures - 2 owners - Description of the non-original parts, and/or missing - Maintenance condition of engine and mechanics - Description of the condition of the body/paint, dents, scratches (min. of 20 words) - Short description about the history (Carfax), restorations, invoices, service booklets/manual (last service stamps), accident history and number of owners - the wipers, turn signals are a non-original parts but done in a exquisite way to be able to use the car on the road nowadays - No issues or defects with the car - Country of origin sold was Spain - Country and city where the car can be inspected/picked up is in OLESA de Montserrat 30 minutes from Barcelona airport ‘It is advisable to view the vehicle before bidding to avoid disappointment afterwards.
