Werkelijk een icoon. De Citroen SM V6 Maserati is een bijzondere, exclusieve en kenmerkende auto uit de autohistorie. Er zijn slechts 1012 stuks geproduceerd, en dit is er éen van. Ontworpen door Robert Opron
Deze Citroen SM is gebouwd in februari 1971 in de kleur Sable Metalisse  en voorzien van  een 2.7 Maserati carburatie motor met handgeschakelde 5 versnellingsbak. In 2006 is deze auto in Nederland geïmporteerd (77.000 km) en nu al 18 jaar van dezelfde eigenaar . Documentatie/facturen vanaf 1994 (56.000 km) tm 2024 (85500 km) zijn aanwezig.

Motor en Versnellingsbak > In 2008 is de motor bij een km stand van 77.000 km compleet gereviseerd. Alle onderdelen  zijn gedocumenteerd en aantoonbaar door middel van facturen. Versnellingsbak is gereviseerd door Harry Martens. in 2023 is de originele ontsteking vervangen door een 123 ontsteking.  Bij een km stand van nu 85500 is er na de revisie in 2008 slechts 8.500 km gereden.

Het exterieur is in zeer goede conditie auto is volledig overgespoten en vertoont geen roest. De bodem en dorpels zijn verder hard. Tevens is deze auto voorzien van een originele rechter buitenspiegel. 

Het glas is rondom in goede staat. Ook het glas van de koplampen zijn origineel. In de voorruit zit een barst , deze is niet in het gezichtsveld maar kan in overleg met nieuwe eigenaar vervangen worden.

Het interieur is netjes en het dashboard is compleet en zonder scheuren of iets dergelijks. In de auto is de zeer zeldzame Continental Edison R437 radio aanwezig. Natuurlijk werkt deze in combinatie met de elektrische antenne.

Interieurbekleding zoals de stoelen, tapijt en deurpanelen  en plafond zijn in zeer goede staat en in 2017 volledig opnieuw bekleed. ook de kofferbak is geheel opnieuw bekleed
Het chroomwerk is verder netjes, bumpers recht en compleet.

Motor loopt mooi ,de carburateurs zijn onlangs nog ultrasoon gereinigd.. Handmatige versnellingsbak schakelt mooi over.  Meedraaiende koplampen werken.  Airco is niet aanwezig in de auto maar de voorbereidingen zijn er wel.

De banden zijn voor en achter vervangen door de originele Michelin XVX  banden .profiel voor 85% en achter 90% . Ook het reservewiel betreft een Michelin XVX band profiel 100%.

In februari 2024 is de Citroen SM opnieuw getaxeerd door een fehac gecertificeerd bedrijf.

Auto staat op Nederlands kenteken, kentekenbewijs is ook compleet, APK vrij.

Gezocht wordt een een echte liefhebber van de Citroen Sm en natuurlijk is de auto te bezichtigen via afspraak met Catawiki.
