Een klassieke Ferrari 400 V12,  nieuw geleverd op 1 juni 1981 in de kleur Grigio Argento Metalic.

De auto is tot 2017 altijd goed onderhouden en gebruikt. Daarna is de Ferrari wegens een lichte voorschade gestald en is het plaatwerk herstelt maar nooit afgemaakt. De auto werd wel regelmatig gestart en verreden in de stalling. 

We hebben er inmiddels een andere accu in gezet en de motor startte direct op externe benzine en loopt hij even. Schakelen doet hij ook goed.

Het zal duidelijk zijn dat de motor technisch nagekeken moet worden door de stilstand van de laatste jaren. Waarschijnlijk alleen de brandstoftoevoer van het injectiesysteem. Het draaiende gedeelte is absoluut goed en lekvrij. De Ferrari 400 modellen waren nog uitgevoerd met de klassieke V12 die ook in voorgaande modellen geleverd waren, onder andere in de Daytona.  

De aluminium motor is voorzien van vier nokkenassen en is mooi droog. De versnellingsbak en het cardan vertonen ook geen lekkage en zijn altijd nog de originele matching numbers. Ook de radiateur ziet er goed uit en vertoond eveneens geen lekkage. De remklauwen zijn gedemonteerd en daarvan moeten door stilstand de remzuigers weer gangbaar gemaakt worden.

Het interieur is in een bijzonder mooie conditie. De eerste serie was nog uitgevoerd met de gewilde tuimelschakelaars. Het leder van de stoelen is mooi soepel, de tapijten zijn keurig netjes en de dak hemel is als nieuw.

Het plaatwerk is voorbewerkt en moet natuurlijk zoals op de foto's te zien is gespoten worden. De carrosserie is roestvrij op enkele kleine plekjes na en bestaat deels uit aluminium en uit deels staal. 

De deuren sluiten goed en de rvs omlijsting is ook goed. Het buizenchassis is in goede staat en alle ruiten zijn nog de originele. Ook de originele Carello mistlampen van de voorzijde zijn los aanwezig en de twee mistlampen van de achterzijde. Ook het 400 embleem en het chromen Ferrari paard embleem voor achterzijde is los erbij. Eén ronde koplamp (universeel €35,-) plus kap mist de auto, verder is alles aanwezig.

De Ferrari staat op zijn originele klassieke Campagnolo velgen en die zijn mooi en onbeschadigd. Ook het reservewiel is een volwaardige velg.

De aankoop bon uit 1981 aanwezig is inclusief wat andere interessante documenten en er is een COC bij de auto die bevestigd dat de motor, versnellingsbak en het cardan de originele zijn. 

Kortom: Een aantrekkelijk geprijsde en complete V12 Ferrari die zeker wat liefde kan gebruiken om weer in oude glorie terug te keren op de weg. We hebben hem zo exact mogelijk omschreven maar vinden het natuurlijk fijn als u hem komt bezichtigen. 

Ook is er een filmpje beschikbaar als de motor gestart wordt en even loopt.
