‘Action Office’ desk with tambour door & 2 integrated drawers.

Designed by George Nelson & Robert Propst for Herman Miller, USA, 1970s.

Base in steel, tambour door in walnut, drawers in fiberglass.

A design classic that guarantees working in “style,” as the desk is designed to be admired from all sides ; top, front, back, side.

You can place it centrally in a room. Beautiful design that guarantees a lot of working pleasure!

This desk is the ladies version of the ‘Action Office’ series.

The desk has a beautiful solid walnut sliding tambour door, which reveals a white laminate writing surface.
The design has 2 hidden drawers with a fiberglass front, which can be used to store writing utensils.

The desk rests on a large steel base, the back of the desk has a beautiful rosewood finish.

Fully restored by us and therefore in beautiful condition.
Action Office was the world’s first open office system and was the result of more than three years of research by the Herman Miller Research Corporation led by Robert Propst.

As icing on the cake, the “Action Office” series was used in the movie “A Space Odyssey,” the epic 1968 science fiction film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick.
