Model WC. W stands for the year the series was ordered for mass production: 1941, and C stands for the payload class at that time: a 1/2 American ton -450kg on unpaved ground. The WC code also remained in use for the production years 1942-1945.
From 1941 onwards, thousands of units of the WC series Dodge were produced, in many different versions, depending on the required use. Equipped with a six-cylinder petrol engine of 3.8 liters with side valves.
This army vehicle was and is extremely robust and played an important role in the successes of the American army. They were used for communications and transporting staff officers. This model could be equipped with a winch (WC-57) or a radio (WC-58).
