De Mercedes-Benz W124, geïntroduceerd in 1985, bleek een keerpunt voor zowel het merk als de auto-industrie. Als opvolger van de opmerkelijke W123-serie werd de W124 ontworpen om nieuwe maatstaven te stellen op het gebied van technologie, prestaties en comfort. Met krachtige functies zoals een elektrisch bedienbare stoffen kap, een volledig onafhankelijke wielophanging en ingebouwde elektronische stabiliteitscontrole, zette de W124 een nieuwe standaard voor luxe 4-zits Cabriolets.

De E320, met een krachtige 3,2-liter 6-in lijn motor, was het paradepaardje van de W124 Cabriolet Facelift-serie. Dankzij zijn verfijnde prestaties, comfortabel rit en tijdloos ontwerp, bewezen de E320 W124 Cabriolet snel de harten van autoliefhebbers wereldwijd.
