Slechts heel af en toe kom je juweeltjes tegen, zoals deze prachtige Ford Model T  uit 1926. Inderdaad een van de laatsten, in 1927 werd de T Ford na 22 jaar productie opgevolgd door de A Ford. Het aparte aan een latere T Ford is dat hij een elektrische startmotor heeft, je hoeft hem dus niet aan te slingeren. En deze T Ford in het bijzonder heeft een koetswerk, dus gesloten. De voorruit kan worden geopend, heeft zelfs twee ruitenwissers.  De auto is inmiddels 99 jaar oud.

Deze T-Ford is nieuw geleverd in 1926 door de bekende Ford garage Svend Waever in Haderslev, zie https://arkiv.dk/vis/1023792, enkele oudere documenten zijn erbij, zoals de eigenaar wissels, en ook benzine-bonnen, ergens in de jaren 50. In de jaren 70 is hij naar Zweden gegaan, de auto heeft momenteel dus Zweedse documenten. De laatste eigenaar heeft hem sinds 2004 gehad, waarvan de laatste jaren in zijn eigen automuseum. Om de paar jaren, wisselt hij zijn collectie, vandaar dat de auto nu wordt verkocht. 

De auto is natuurlijk een eye-catcher van jewelste. 

Documenten:

Wordt geleverd met Zweedse registratie documenten zodat de nieuwe eigenaar hem gemakkelijk kan registreren in zijn/haar land. Zweden is een zogenoemd Schengen land, zodat er geen exportbelastingen betaald moeten worden. De auto staat nu in Hengevelde Nederland.

Techniek:

De motor is jaren geleden al eens gereviseerd, en zou nu eens een beurt moeten hebben, even de techniek nalopen zoals bij eigenlijk alle gebruikte auto’s goed is. Een Ford Model T is natuurlijk heel anders dan een moderne auto, simpele techniek, voetschakeling, handgas, ontstekingsvertrager en handkoppeling, om maar enkele zaken te noemen. Er is een nieuw accu gemonteerd, evenals een nieuwe aandrijfriem voor de ventilator van de koeler. De auto start relatief gemakkelijk, rijdt en schakelt en stuurt goed, let wel : de bediening is compleet anders dan bij moderne auto’s. Hij lekt motorolie, wellicht goed om daar even op te letten. Banden en uitlaat zijn oud, maar wel goed functioneel.

Carrosserie:

Verder veel positieve dingen, zoals de oorspronkelijke mooie kleur die nog steeds erg mooi is, natuurlijk wel enkele kleinere lakbeschadigingen hier en daar, maar in het algemeen zeer mooi gebleven is. Het donkerrood en zwart zijn iets vervaagd, (patina zeggen de enthousiasten) maar kunnen met een gemakkelijke poetsbeurt weer als nieuw worden gemaakt. Dat is voor de nieuwe eigenaar, om patina te kiezen, of glimmend. De houten vloer van de T Ford is erg netjes, het dak is origineel en gerepareerd aan de voorzijde.

Interieur:

Het interieur is vernieuwd, de stoelbekleding in super nette staat, evenals de achterbank en zijpanelen, en ook de hemelbekleding is zeer fraai. Het dashboard ziet er ook zeer netjes uit. 

Kortom, een heerlijke vooroorlogse klassieker die nu een beetje aandacht nodig heeft, met veel uitstraling, tegen een betaalbare prijs, en waar ook volop onderdelen voor verkrijgbaar zijn. De verkoper heeft veel contacten in binnen- en buitenland en kan u daarin adviseren voor nieuwe en gebruikte onderdelen. 

Transport:

De auto staat in Hengevelde Nederland en kan hier worden opgehaald. Tevens is transport mogelijk, meerprijs van 180 euro (behalve de Waddeneilanden)
Verkoper kan de auto relatief goedkoop in de hele EU laten bezorgen, dit is geen enkel probleem omdat het transport door een professionele transporteur gebeurt.
