Prachtige Art Deco coupe – Libochovice, ontwerp Feigl & Morawetz (catalogus nr. 2046)

Deze elegante glazen coupe werd rond de jaren 1920-1930 ontworpen door Feigl & Morawetz voor de beroemde Tsjechische glasfabriek Libochovice. Het ontwerp draagt het catalogusnummer 2046 en is een schitterend voorbeeld van de verfijnde geometrie en ritmische patronen die kenmerkend zijn voor de Art Deco-periode.

De coupe is vervaardigd uit helder transparant glas en rust op drie korte poten, wat haar een sierlijke en toch robuuste uitstraling geeft. Het decor bestaat uit herhalende geometrische motieven die het licht prachtig breken en weerkaatsen – een typisch kenmerk van de hoogstaande Tsjechische glasproductie uit die tijd.

De glasfabriek Libochovice, opgericht in 1919 in Noord-Bohemen, groeide tijdens het interbellum uit tot een van de toonaangevende producenten van decoratief glas in Europa. Dankzij samenwerkingen met ontwerpers zoals Feigl & Morawetz werd het bedrijf bekend om zijn inventieve Art Deco-creaties, die vandaag nog steeds internationaal gewaardeerd worden door verzamelaars.
