AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

History / Overview
Italian icon 600 D second series with wind deflector doors, very rare in good overall condition, always kept in a garage and protected from the elements, with 13-inch alloy wheels and front disc brakes.

Bodywork conditions
It presents very well despite the very aged paintwork, with slight scratches on the right and left sides. The hood has small paint errors and should be redone due to the advanced age of the previous paint. It needs polishing on the fender edges and under the front windshield. Nothing serious; with little expense, it can be brought back to its original splendor.

The seals are in excellent condition, but the right front deflector needs to be checked—nothing serious, it can be fine as is. Anyway, another front deflector is available and will be given as a freebie along with the restored original wheels with their tires.
New straps, tires, and alloy wheels in like-new condition.

The engine is completely new, having undergone a total restoration, with replacement of pistons, connecting rods, bronze bearings, gasket, and cylinder head overhaul. The general overhaul, as shown in the photos, demonstrates work carried out to a high standard. The water pump is new, the dynamo has been regenerated, the radiator and Weber carburetor have been overhauled, the ignition distributor is new, the fuel pump is new, and the electrical system has been been overhauled and is operational.

Regarding the transmission, it is a bit noisy in first and second gear; no problem with other gears since the car has been stationary in the garage for three years. It needs to run and return to normal, and it is also advisable to have it inspected and possibly serviced.
Overall, the car is very fun and attracts looks and smiles from all around, especially with the light blue and white interior color combination.

The vehicle has been completely painted internally, including the floors, interiors, and the ceiling, immediately after being treated with a two-component anti-rust paint. The floors and all interiors were treated to ensure durability over time, with the initial painting followed by anti-rust treatment, applied to all floors and car parts. A heat-resistant anti-noise protective coating was also applied to preserve the underlying sheet metal. Additionally, sound-absorbing panels were hot-glued, and the 'mochett,' which is very attractive, along with its original carpets covered with blue mochett to match the car's colors, as shown in the photos. Both the floors and other internal parts show no rust.
Improved brakes with a disc brake at the front and a drum brake at the rear, with the brake pump recently replaced before the inspection.

The interiors have been completely refurbished by specialists, with the seat frames painted, new springs, and new upholstery as shown in the photos. All panels and various parts are new, with almost all old materials replaced.

Original documents of the era and black plates.
Revision valid until October 2027 as per the stamp.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
