Mercedes W116 350SE from 1978 Chassis number: 11602812048113 Engine: M116 3.5 liter V8 – 195 hp and 285 Nm Gearbox: 4-speed automatic (this was an option) Kilometers: 233000 km This W116 S-class was purchased new in Brussels in 1978. This can be deducted from the original maintenance booklet. This maintenance booklet is also largely filled in. The current owner has had the engine overhauled a few years ago and regular maintenance has been carried out. In recent years it has been replaced, among other things: - radiator, water pump, fan - four tires - steering damper - coil, spark plugs, spark plug wires, distributor cap + rotor - all filters and fluids (also from the gearbox) - front brake pads and rear brake shoes - new center silencer exhaust (present, but yet to be replaced) Mechanically the car is in near perfect order. There is a small hole in the center silencer, but a brand new center silencer will be included (see photos). There are two keys available that fit all locks. The interior is in top condition, all leather and carpets are in good condition, there is only one hole in the driver's backrest. The leather feels very supple. The paint and chassis are also in very good condition, with the only downsides: rust bubbles on the rear wheel arches, and rust on the front left under the bumper (welding work). This S-class from the late 1970s drives like a dream, the 3.5L V8 always starts the first time and runs very smoothly. Everything works as it should, the brakes also work very well. The car is accident and damage free.
