Chevrolet - Corvette C3 - 1981

This Chevrolet Corvette Stingray is an iconic 1980s American sports car is powered by an upgraded and rebuilt 350ci (5.7L) ‘L81’ V8, reportedly delivering over 250PS to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. The odometer currently reads 15,200 miles, though this is not warranted. This example was originally registered in the USA and is now offered for sale in Switzerland. The car is finished in metallic grey over a light grey leather-trimmed cabin. It rides on a set of 15-inch wheels with Corvette centre caps and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tyres. Equipment includes removable glass roof panels, converted air conditioning, cruise control, an electrically operated radio antenna, and an electrically adjustable driver’s seat. A modern radio has been installed. Accompanying the sale is the owner’s manual, original US title, various invoices and import documentation (form 13.20a, Swiss imported taxes paid), original GM T-Top storage bag, indoor car cover and one key. Specific notes: minor scratches, cracks, and blemishes on the paintwork, discolouration on the door cards and centre console, and wear on the seat bolsters and some of the interior touchpoints. The car has reportedly been resprayed, though there is no documentation to support this. The car has not been driven for approximately a year, it pulls slightly to the left when braking, and the headlights do not pop up. A new steering wheel was fitted in January 2025. The battery was replaced in December 2024. The engine oil, transmission fluid, brake callipers, and brake pads were replaced during the car’s last service in the USA, but a fresh service is now recommended. The engine was previously rebuilt with performance headers, an EPS performance intake manifold, an aftermarket air filter housing, long-tube exhaust headers, Flowmaster mufflers, an HEI distributor, a Moroso engine oil cap, and bright valve covers.
