HISTORIE/DOCUMENTATIE
Een icoon uit de Britse auto-industrie: de Jaguar MKII. Dit exemplaar is na fabricage in ca. 1963 nieuw geleverd op 10 november 1969, blijkt ook uit het originele kentekenbewijs wat nog bij de auto aanwezig is. De eerste eigenaar heeft de auto maar liefst 33 jaar in bezit gehad, tot 2002. Ook daarna is de auto altijd in Nederland gebleven. In het verleden is de auto gerestaureerd en ook zeer recent zijn werkzaamheden aan de auto verricht. Bij de auto is een Engelstalig instructie-, service- en onderhoudsboek aanwezig. Het NAP-rapport van de RDW geeft een logisch oordeel over de kilometerstand van slechts 81.824 kilometer. De links gestuurde MKII is één van de meest geliefde uitvoeringen: namelijk met de krachtigste 3.8-liter motor met 220 pk en de handgeschakelde versnellingsbak met overdrive als 'vijfde versnelling'. 

EXTERIEUR
De samenstelling is bijzonder fraai in de dieprode kleur 'Maroon Red' met chromen spaakwielen. Deze wielen zijn een aantal jaren geleden vernieuwd. De optische staat is mooi zonder roest en met mooie passingen van carrosseriedelen. Het lakwerk is mooi, maar heeft wel gebruikerssporen. Het chroomwerk en de rubbers zijn nog tamelijk origineel. Mooie passingen van het plaatwerk. Nette auto, geen concours.

INTERIEUR
Het interieur bevindt zich nog in een fraaie staat met enkele gebruikerssporen. De prachtige bordeauxrode stoelen en achterbank beschikken nog over het originele leder zonder beschadigingen of scheuren. Het vele walnoten houtwerk dat bijvoorbeeld verwerkt is in het dashboard is eveneens vrij van scheuren. Zowel aan de voor- als de achterzijde is het comfortabel vertoeven in luxe en klasse. Een mooie upgrade is het 3-spaaks houten Moto-Lita stuurwiel. Naast verwarming beschikt de auto over een speakersysteem aan zowel de voor- als de achterzijde. De hemel verkeert nog in zeer goede staat en de vloermatten zijn vernieuwd. Ook de kofferruimte is netjes en hier is het reservewiel netjes opgeborgen.

TECHNISCH
De 3.8-liter 6-cilinder lijnmotor beschikt over dubbele SU HD6 carburateurs. Deze motor is ook bekend uit de iconische E-Type. De auto is goed rijdend en beschikt over een handgeschakelde 4-versnellingsbak met overdrive. De vernieuwde wielen zijn voorzien van eveneens vernieuwde en goede Vredestein banden. Het uitlaatsysteem is van roestvrijstaal. Recent is een nieuwe Lucas accu geplaatst. Daarnaast zijn een nieuwe hoofdremcilinder en koppelingscilinder aangebracht. Dankzij 220 pk sprint de luxueuze saloon in 8,5 seconden naar 100 km/u en behaalt hij een topsnelheid van ca. 200 km/u. Serieuze cijfers voor de jaren "60, zeker voor een auto die ca. 1.450 kg weegt.

Deze Jaguar heeft het laatste jaar weinig gereden vanwege de hoge leeftijd van de eigenaar. Daarom adviseren wij de koper om hem nog een frisse service te geven en te checken alvorens grote afstanden te rijden.
