Jaguar XK150 FHC 1957.

Unfortunately, our customer drove on a concrete block. This warped the chassis and front suspension. Please view the photos.

The engine starts immediately and runs well. But the radiator and various pipes of the coolant, oil, etc. are damaged and the car cannot be driven partly because of this. Before the accident, the car drove very well and it was well maintained / kept, all documentation, such as maintenance invoices and history of the car are available.

The chassis hit he concrete block head-on, causing the chassis and front suspension to be warped and severely damaged. We recommend using a new chassis to build the car on. Currently a used chassis is offered in England for £ 5,000.

The front part of the bodywork has been partly damaged by the impact and is slightly kinked, but fairly easy to repair on a new chassis. 

The Jaguar comes with a folder with various papers. This includes the original American title, which is a nice addition to its history.

The car comes from warm Florida (USA). The last Belgian owner had various technical improvements / modifications carried out in recent years. The brakes, exhaust, Koni shock absorbers, steering rod and the automatic cooling fan have been  replaced.

Three-point belts with headrests were also fitted.

The XK150 was different in 1958 from the original XK line which started ten years earlier. As such, it can actually be considered a separate model. The XK140 could no longer be built partly due to a large fire in February 1957 at Jaguar's production factories. The XK150 was introduced in May 1958 after the factory was rebuilt. The XK150 had a clearly evolved line and was more in keeping with the increased streamlining of cars of that time. Also for people who do not fit well in the XK120 or 140, the 150 offered a solution because the interior is a lot more spacious compared to its predecessors. The production line of the XK had been a very successful one until now, so there was no reason to start a completely new concept. Little was actually changed in the technology, except that things  which still were optional on the XK140 now were supplied as standard, such as front and rear disc brakes. The versions remain the same: the Open Two Seater (OTS), the Drop Head Coupé (DHC) and the Fixed Head Coupé (FHC).
