Today at Catawiki: We are very pleased to be able to auction the great Mercedes-Benz 560 SEL (right: the long version!) of the W 126 series.

This 560 SEL has an interesting history:
- Delivered on 2.5.1990, the vehicle was first registered on 19.April 1991 at the Mercedes-Benz branch in Munich - as a company vehicle.
- On 14.8.1992 the car was registered to the second owner: Sachtler AG - a manufacturer of camera accessories - with its headquarters in Garching near Munich, also used here as a company vehicle.
- Almost 3 years later, on 19.9.1995, the vehicle was sold to a private person, born in 1936, who owned it for another four years.
- In July 1999, another re-registration took place for a gentleman, born in 1941, who had the vehicle until 2003..
- Then on 22 May 2003 the S-class was purchased by a gentleman, born in 1959, owned it until April 2016.
- On 29.4.2016, the vehicle was purchased by its current owner, an entrepreneur from Munich, who has a 500 SEL in addition to this 560 SEL. 

Due to illness the now 80-year-old current owner is now separating from this great SEL with heavy heart.

The vehicle is in great condition - the first registration document is available as well as the current registration document. 

The vehicle has German MOT (TÜV) until November 2021.

The maintenance has been carried out on regular basis. The car comes with a thick folder with a lot of receipts.

Last service on 17.03.2020 at 270,900 km

Defects on the vehicle:
Brake fluid must be changed (can be done before handover if desired),
Transmission oil sump with slight oil-moisture
Engine oil sump with slight oil-moisture
